Marble is better suited to cool, clean aesthetics, while mosaic tile looks more whimsical and artistic. Since both of these surfaces are porous, they require a little extra care. You’ll want to get a silicon treatment kit to seal the tabletop and prevent it from getting stained by acidic and brightly-colored drinks.

Finally, for businesses that host lots of children, durability and ease of cleaning are important factors to consider. Lots of child care centers use laminate tabletops, like Formica. Laminate tabletops are very low-maintenance, and can handle all but the most abrasive of cleaners. Available in bright colors that kids love, employees will love the easy upkeep.
